Trey joined uvcPhyzx Corp in the fall of 2020. He ran a 23-unit franchise business for over 18 years and sold this business in Dec 2021. Prior to that he was in the telecommunications industry for 25 years. He held various positions from design engineering manager to standards committee representative in the office of the CTO at Rockwell Semiconductor, Conexant, and Mindspeed Technologies. Trey has an MBA in Finance from the University of Colorado Boulder and a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University. Trey lives in Evergreen, CO and enjoys hiking, skiing, and travel.
Tom founded uvcPhyzx Corp in the summer of 2020 to address the air purification problems presented by the SARS-CoV-2 virus which can cause the COVID-19 illness. He recently retired after 22 years as a Professor of Physics at Corning Community College. He also was a Development Engineer for Kodak (4 years) and for Westinghouse/IST (14 years). Tom has an MS degree in Optical Engineering from the University of Rochester and a BS in Mathematics and Physics from Susquehanna University. Tom lives on Keuka Lake in the Finger Lakes area of New York. In his spare time he enjoys fishing and boating.
Dr. Zachary Dunbar
Zachary worked for one year as a member of the state COVID-19 response team at the Wisconsin State Department of Health Services, where he managed the occupational health COVID-19 prevention and control team to mitigate COVID-19 outbreaks across the state. He also was a graduate student of University at Buffalo for five years, where he studied aerosol chemistry and health behavior. Zachary has a PhD in Cancer Sciences from University at Buffalo and a BS in Natural Products Chemistry from SUNY-College of Environmental Science and Forestry. Zachary lives in the Elmira-Corning region of Upstate New York, and in his spare time he enjoys reading and hiking.
Mechanical Design Lead
John joined uvcPhyzx Corp in the fall of 2020. He is a Senior Lecturer of Mechanical Engineering at Rochester Institute of Technology, where he has taught classes on data acquisition, experimental methods, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, strength of materials, robotics, mechatronics, computational methods, and engineering design since 1998. He has also built numerous test facilities and control systems for experimental purposes. John has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from RIT and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rochester. He is currently finishing an MBA at the Saunders College of Business at RIT. In his spare time John enjoys hiking, gardening, and landscape photography.
